Happy 5 Months!!!

Today we have been married 5 months, and I had a 13 hour day up on campus.  You probably thought that I forgot that today was our five month mark, only to surprise you when I walked in tonight with a cupcake and hot chocolate.  I love you!

Double Birthday

Sean and his birthday buddies!!

Today was Brett and Kyle Anderson's 24th birthday.  They have been Sean's best friends since he was ten years old.  We went out for some dinner at Costa Vida, then for dessert, some chocolate quesadillas from El Azteca!

If you couldn't tell, they are trying to sign YOLO.  Didn't work out very well...

A baby shower for Summer

So glad I got to be a part of this. It was such a happy night and it was great to catch up with friends!
Summer is due in three weeks and my roommate from freshman year Kasidy is getting married at the end of November. It's a happy time for everyone!!

Summer is my first friend to have a baby. She seems so happy and her little baby belly is growing so so so big!!

Summer was also my first friend to get married and it's been so fun to watch her and JD Grow such a great relationship and now a cute little family!

The little one still doesn't have a name, but I know she will have a ton of love in her life!

The lady throwing summer shower asked me to provide decorations. It was a lot of fun and it turned out great!

We've been busy!!

Sean is back in school and working part-time at the MTC , and I'm still working full time and Have taken on some more responsibilities at work! Our life is hectic!

A little peek into our evening...taking a break from our studies and thank you card writing to have a little fun!

Good news is I have a new fall wreath and our thank you cards are done, but the bad news is Sean's homework never ends!!

Throwing an Engagement Party...

Turned out to be a lot easier than I thought!

My friend Megan, that I work with at Noah's, is getting married in September. So in order to celebrate with her we threw her an engagement party at Noah's a few weeks before the wedding. We invited her family and friends from up north and all of our coworkers.

I really thought the stress of work, combined with Sean going back to school, and planning an engagement party all at once would be way too much to handle. But, with a lot of help from the vendors we use at Noah's, we pulled it off without a hitch!

Tiffany and I brainstormed ideas for weeks and talked to so many different vendors about food and flowers and decor and linens and all that good stuff. It really turned out to be not that much work and the day of the party was so much fun putting it all together!!

Tiffany, you're the best party planning partner I could have asked for.
Congrats to Megan and Rhett, we are so happy for you!

Canvas

Sean I have been dreaming of a big canvas print for house ever since we got married.

We wanted something that was nice and big and would look really awesome over a mantel someday.

But, we were sadly surprised to see how expensive those things can be.

After drooling over them for months I finally mentioned it to a coworker of mine, Tiffany. We were at work and there was a really cute wedding that had big canvas prints all over, and they were gorgeous! Tiffany mentioned to me that you can get canvas prints at Costco for a good price. My ears perked up and I looked into it once I got home!

Seeing the prices were outrageously awesome, I took advantage and ordered us a canvas print.

We definitely downsized on how big we decided to go. We were a little afraid it would dwarf our house and take over the whole wall!

But, we love it! It's such a happy little addition to our home!!

Fight On!

We also got a new canvas wrap of one of our wedding pictures, as seen behind the TV on the wall.

So I don't think I want to dedicate much of this blog to things going on in the sports world, but I will indulge myself just this once.  This past week I started classes at BYU, and it went pretty well, for a first week.  I am definitely going to be busy this semester, but I am in that positive state right now where I am excited for the classes I am taking.  There are a few classes though that are going to be pretty demanding; primarily organic chemistry.  So it's a Saturday night and Cory is working late so I took advantage of the time and got a lot of homework done.  Also, to rest my mind for a bit, I checked to see if anything was on TV.  Wouldn't you know USC's season opener against Hawaii was on and I was happy to watch it.  My dad received a Master's from USC and we have been life long fans.  There is something nostalgic about college football during the fall months.  BYU won their season opener on Thursday as well, and although I enjoy BYU football, there is just something about those cardinal and gold uniforms that gets me pumped.  I have always felt more invested in what happens to the Trojans.  They won by the way, 49-10.  This could be a great year for them, but I don't want to jinx anything so early in the season.  I know that our little tiki next to the TV is a god of fertility, but can it double as a good luck charm?
